Career pathway

A staged route from service floors to office desks

This page maps the consulting journey we use with most clients. It is not a course syllabus — it is the order of conversations that keep career change grounded in German hiring practice.

Stages we walk together

1. Fit & constraints

We clarify hours you can accept, language level, location radius, and whether you need tip-level income replaced immediately. This stage often happens as a discovery call and prevents months of mismatched applications.

2. Skills inventory from real shifts

You describe peak service, complaint recovery, stock counts, handovers, and training juniors. We translate those moments into competencies office managers recognise — coordination, documentation, calm under incomplete information.

3. Role family shortlist

Together we pick two or three entry routes: office administration, reception coordination, customer operations, junior purchasing support, or facility coordination. We drop fantasies that require credentials you do not plan to earn.

4. Documents for German readers

Lebenslauf and Anschreiben are rewritten so hospitality employers become evidence, not apology. Bullets gain numbers, outcomes, and tools you actually used.

5. Interview narrative

We rehearse why you are leaving hospitality, how you handle quiet desk days, and how you will learn unfamiliar software without overclaiming fluency.

6. Application rhythm

You leave with a weekly application habit, channels that fit career changers, and a stop-rule for roles that demand credentials you have chosen not to pursue yet.

Who this pathway suits

Hotel reception and housekeeping leads, restaurant floor and kitchen staff, café operators, and catering supervisors who want office work within Germany and can commit to three focused sessions over several weeks.

Who should wait

If your primary need is visa counsel, recognised qualification recognition, or intensive German language tuition, we will say so and point you elsewhere before selling consulting hours.

Common questions

Do I need to quit my hospitality job before starting?

No. Most clients keep their shifts while we rewrite documents and rehearse interviews. We plan session times around roster realities.

Is the pathway the same as the three-session consultation?

Yes. The Hospitality-to-Office Career Pathway is the bookable form of these stages. Discovery and single clinics exist if you only need part of the route.

Can sessions be fully remote?

Yes. Video works well for document review and interview rehearsal. In-person meetings in Nortorf remain available when you prefer them.
