2. Data we collect

When you submit the contact form we process your name, email address, consultation interest, hospitality background summary, and message content. If you book sessions we may also process phone numbers, appointment times, CV drafts you share, and notes required to deliver consulting.

Technical data such as IP address, browser type, and basic server logs may be processed to operate and secure the site. Analytics cookies run only if you accept optional cookies.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Responding to enquiries and delivering consultations — Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract / pre-contract).
  • Operating essential site functions and security — Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
  • Optional analytics — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent), withdrawable at any time.
  • Meeting legal record-keeping duties — Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

4. Retention

Enquiry messages without a booking are typically retained up to 12 months. Client files from paid consultations are retained for up to 3 years after the last session unless a longer statutory period applies to invoices. Server logs are rotated on a shorter cycle consistent with security needs.

5. Recipients

We use hosting and email providers who process data on our instructions. We do not sell personal data. Documents you share for consulting are not used for marketing.

6. International transfers

Where a provider stores data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent without affecting prior lawful processing. You may lodge a complaint with a German supervisory authority, including the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).
